On the 24th September 2021 there will be another Braai Day at Caister Lodge and lunch will be served on the verandah. Please save the date as this is always a fun day for all the residents.
In the last 24 hours the number of new COVID-19 positive cases in Kwa Zulu Natal was 1568. Residents are therefore reminded of the current Lockdown Protocols for their own safety:-
- No visitors allowed unless in case of an emergency.
- No visiting and socializing in apartments.
- Only one person per table in the dining room.
- A maximum of 14 persons only are allowed in the bar.
- When the lounge is in use, all the doors are to stay open for ventilation purposes.
- The wearing of masks in all the public areas of Caister Lodge is mandatory.
Service providers in respect hair, nails etc. will still not be allowed on the premises until further notice. Residents requiring these services should make alternative arrangements and go off-site and have same done elsewhere.
The installation of the new lifts in the Hotel Block is progressing steadily and the first lift is expected to be operational by the end of September 2021and thereafter, the installation of the second lift will commence. Thank you for your patience.
An account has been opened at Sparksport Pharmacy in the name of Caister Lodge for the convenience of all residents. We are awaiting the procedure on how this account will work, and once confirmed, residents may utilize this account for their medication requirements, which will be recovered from their monthly levy statements.
The water levels in the dams that feed the greater Durban area are still dropping and residents are reminded to continue to use water sparingly as we still have a way to go before the summer rains are upon us. Herewith the current levels of the dams that feed the greater Durban area:-
Albert Falls Dam 49.60% Midmar Dam 93.30% Inanda Dam 87.70% Hazelmere Dam 38.30%
